Just one more sleep until the doors open on another incredible Scottish Learning Festival!
We’re looking forward to an exciting couple of days of inspirational keynotes from world renowned speakers and seminars demonstrating the very best of Scottish Education.
And make sure you visit the exhibition where you will have the opportunity to experience inspirational resources, discover the latest educational innovations and receive guidance on innovative approaches to learning that will enhance the progression of your pupils.

Countdown to SLF - 1 week to go

There’s just a week to go until the biggest and best education event in Scotland so make sure you’ve booked your place!
Many seminars are already full and the others are filling up quickly so book soon to guarantee your place.

You can register online until Monday 19th September. Once online registration has closed you can still register on the day at the SECC and tickets for the seminars will be available to collect from the Seminar Ticket desk.

Badge Mailing

You will soon receive your personalised delegate badge along with a copy of SLF News.

Your delegate badge will give you entry to the exhibition and the conference sessions that you have booked to attend, please keep your badge safe and bring it with you to SLF 2011.

To ensure that delegate badges are with you prior to SLF you are no longer able to amend your seminar bookings.

Small events in Crowne Plaza hotel

Scholastic are hosting some smaller events at the Crowne Plaza hotel which you are more than welcome to attend:

Making the most of Primary French - Paul Rogers

The session is on Wednesday 23 September from 11 am - 12 pm in the Rockwell room of the adjoining Crowne Plaza hotel.

Getting teenagers excited about learning languages - Andy Cowle

The session is on Wednesday 23 September from 12 - 1 pm in the Rockwell room of the adjoining Crowne Plaza hotel.

SuperClubsPLUS - Catriona Dormand

The session is on Wednesday 23 September, 10 - 10.45 am and Thursday 24 September, 10 - 10.45 am in the Rockall Room of the adjoining Crowne Plaza hotel.

Scholastic are on stand H15 in Exhibition Hall, where you can save money with special offers on teacher resources and pick up the new Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler picture book ‘Tabby McTat’.

Scholastic will host seminars F1B and F1C.

SLF Delegate Pack

With the start of the new term, it is time for us to mail your SLF delegate badge and copy of SLF News.

To help reduce the carbon footprint of the event seminar tickets are not being issued this year. Your delegate badge has information about the sessions you have booked for and will give you entry into the exhibition and conference sessions.

Delegate packs will be mailed out at the start of September, look out for yours in the post. The mailing will also contain a copy of SLF News, which gives you all the latest information about what to see and do and will help you plan your day at SLF 2009.
