Current issues on the Heppell radar

Our keynote speaker is a busy man, but you can catch up with some of the issues that concern him by tapping into the blogosphere.

He appeared at the latest eTwinning event in Belgium, which was also attended by Ewan McIntosh, who was helping Scottish schools present their eTwinning projects to the rest of Europe. Ewan’s posts Stephen Heppell at eTwinning: 21st Century Learning and Q&A with Heppell give a good idea of the scope of the discussions that took place.

Back in January, Stephen was discussing Future Learning environments at the annual BETT show in London, Tomorrow’s Learners Today and a podcast is available on their feed (paste feed://www.heppell.net/podcast/bett2007/BETT_podcast.xml into your podcast subscription.)

It has taken a while - and a few changes in personnel - but we are now pleased to announce the first 2 keynote speakers for the Scottish Learning Festival 2007.

Stephen Heppell, former director of Ultralab and Michael Fullan, former Dean of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education are both sure to give you plenty to think about at this year’s event.

More details will be published in the near future, but a note for your diaries - the full programme for this year’s event will be published on Tuesday 8 May. The online registration will open on the same day. Any other enquiries can be answered by the Scottish Learning Festival team.
