Olympic Dreams Success for Scottish Schools!

Congratulations to the 4 Scottish schools that have been chosen to take part in an exciting school twinning project called World Olympic Dreams jointly funded by the British Council and the BBC. Each school will form a partnership with a school attended by a high profile Olympic athlete.

The chosen schools and their partner athlete are:

Baltasound Junior High in Shetland - twinned with British-Sudanese and Chicago Bulls basketball star Luol Deng’s school in London

St Mary’s Primary in Stirling - twinned with sprinter Merlyn Diamond’s primary in Namibia

Calderglen High School in East Kilbride - twinned with sprinter Merlyn Diamond’s secondary in Namibia

Insch Primary in Aberdeenshire - twinned with diver Wu Minxia’s school in Shanghai, China.
