The National Library of Scotland, based in Edinburgh, provides an excellent and extensive collection of resources which could be used to enliven the delivery of the new National Qualifications in the Sciences.

Access to the library’s collections of books, journals and on-line materials is free upon registration to anyone in Scotland over the age of sixteen.

The big highlight of the NQ Physics Development Officer’s recent visit to the library was the opportunity to see first hand a collection of original 19th century letters from Lord Kelvin to his instrument maker!
