The promotion of health and wellbeing is no longer just the responsibility of the Head Teacher or a dedicated member of staff.
Increasingly everyone who works in a school is being encouraged to play a part in promoting the social, physical and emotional wellbeing of everyone in the school.
The draft experiences and outcomes for health and wellbeing have been published on the Curriculum for Excellence website.
These documents have been designed to provide information for all staff in all education establishments on the context and scope of the draft outcomes; they also explain what schools and centres should do with the draft outcomes.
At this year’s festival, the Health and Wellbeing team from LTS will deliver the seminar ‘Health and Wellbeing: The draft experiences and outcomes’ on Wednesday 24 September at 13.30.
This session offers delegates the opportunity to share their views of health and wellbeing in schools and their ideas about how best to support all staff, pupils and parents to become more involved.
Register for this seminar by quoting seminar code G2C.
____________
Feedback on the experiences and outcomes is now being collected via questionnaires located on the Curriculum for Excellence website.
