I’m a user of CompEdNet, a dedicated web site for Computing, Information Systems and Computing Studies Teachers. It features a web/email forum, resource sharing, web links, video library (like YouTube), user pages and wiki. With over 600 ICT specialists signed up and verified it is the largest community of ICT Teachers in Scotland and a fantastic resource for every member.

SLF 2009 would benefit from a seminar session on CompEdNet and how ICT specialists are effectively sharing and networking online using this site.

    I agree with this.

Believe it or not I always feel that computing is badly represented at the SLF

As skills is going to be the next focus of CfE it would be useful to see sessions about skills and CfE / cross curicular themes. Skills like information literacy and how the work at schools links to lifelong learning, further education and the workplace. Would be interested in being involved in this as I’m involved in the Scottish Information Literacy Project working with schools, FE, HE, lifelong learning and the workplace.

I’m also in agreement with Charlie and would like to see a session for CompEdNet
