LTS National Parks Development Officer
December 15th, 2009The creation of a new National Park’s Development Officer role has been marked by an event at Blair Atholl hosted jointly by Scotland’s two national parks. The event was attended by Environment Minister Roseanna Cunningham and LTS Education Manager Dr Alan Runcie. The two year post aims to promote outdoor learning with the national park areas.
In commenting on the appointment of Alison Hammerton to the role Dr Runcie said “I am delighted that Alison has been appointed as our new Development Officer and we welcome her on board. Outdoor learning for pupils plays a key role in the delivery of Curriculum for Excellence. Alison’s appointment further confirms our commitment to this learning approach as a pivotal part of Scotland’s education system.”
