European Day of Languages, 26 September

What are the aims of the European Day of Languages?

  • To alert the public to the importance of language learning.
  • To increase awareness and appreciation of all the languages spoken in Europe.
  • To encourage lifelong language learning

You can search the range of events that have been organised across Europe which  include competitions, language classes and conferences. Or download resources from the European Day of Languages website.

    I agree this is an event worth mentioning in blogs. Although a European celebration, I share it with my students in Argentina in my blog.

    Great info. Language learning is quite important for all of us these days, it’s good to know there is a designated day to celebrate it….
