Languages Work - a motivational talk for students making subject choices in S2 and S4
Why languages are important in your students’ future
Tim Steward of Languages Network Scotland has offered to visit your school to give a 45-minute talk to students in S2 and S4 on why languages are important in their future careers. In careers as diverse as Seed Potato Merchant, Social Worker, Professional Rugby Player and Accountant, he illustrates how languages make the difference for job applicants in securing employment. In an illustrated and humorous PowerPoint and DVD presentation, he shows why businesses in Scotland need people with foreign-language skills.
There is no charge for this presentation.

Hi
We were gutted to miss out on the event so if you could come and speak to our S4 sometime soon that would be fantastic. Can you give me more details please?
I teach at Dunblane High School and we have a fantastic drop out rate at the end of S Grade that we are trying hard to recover. Our kids are very bright and dominated by careers in science and such like.

Hi Marie,
I’ve also contacted Tim for you to ask if he could speak at your school, and passed on your email address.
