Glow FactorOnce again the young people of Scotland have proved that they have the most incredible talent! From singing to poetry recitals the nation was kept fully entertained for the afternoon last week as Glowing Thursday finished it’s very successful run of summer Glow Meets.

The event was kicked off in style by the P5-7′s of Baltasound Junior High, Shetland who performed ‘Living on a Prayer’ by Bon Jovi. Not only did they sing but they danced and provided all the music for the song themselves – a fantastic start to afternoon of high standard performances. They were followed by Broxburn Primary who had very cleverly reworded the King’s Of Leon’s song ‘Use Somebody’ to be all about an astronaut out in space!! The P3s at the same school also entertained us with their rendition of ‘Hootin’ Rootin’ Tutankhamun.

Kyleakin Primary in Skye had recently been to a mod and they very kindly did several performances of poetry and singing in Gaelic for our national audience and the afternoon was rounded off beautifully by P2/1 Dean Primary School who sang Fabby Dabby Dee and indeed it was!! Thank you to all who joined in and helped to make it such a memorable afternoon.

Our Glowing Thursday’s schedule will resume again after the holidays with a mixture of CPD and events for classes to take part in. We look forward to seeing you in the new term.
