We are pleased to announce that we will be running three more Building Glow Communities events at Stirling Management Centre in May.

This batch of events will be for Technologies, Additional Support Needs and Expressive Arts.

As before, practitioners will work in small groups to create Glow Groups in which they and their pupils can collaborate over the coming months. The groups created will be made visible to all teachers and pupils nationally to act as examples of good practice. This will be a unique opportunity to work alongside colleagues from across the country to share ideas, experiences and resources.

Applicants must have a Glow account and should have some experience of creating Glow Groups.

To apply for the event, please visit the Building Glow Communities Glow Group and fill in the form with your details.

Technologies 4-5 May
Additional Support Needs 17-18 May
Expressive Arts 25-26 May

I have been in contact with Anrew Brown to help setup Design and Technology National Grps and I have been jointly setting up a National Glow Group for graphic Novels with Katie Barrowman.

I ask to join communities online and submit my request when on GLOW but I never get an acknowledgement. Is this correct?

  6. Lorna Arbuckle March 8th, 2010 at

Marion, once the application has been submitted it should just appear on the page. You should get an email if you have a place confirmed nearer the time.

We can’t see your application though. If you can submit it again we will be sending you an email to let her know if she has a place or not.

There is no BGC application form on the group page. How do I get a copy to fill in?

  8. Lorna Arbuckle March 15th, 2010 at

The application form can be found in the Building Glow Communities Glow Group. If you simply click on the link ‘Building Glow Communities application form’ or click on ‘new item’ underneath the title. It will lead directly to the application form.

Do you need to re-apply if you were accepted for the original Expressive Arts event?
