Meet the team – Margaret Orr
September 10th, 2010
I am Margaret Orr and I have a special interest in Learning Rounds and partnership working in the work of the National CPD Team
Before joining the Team in August 2008, I was a member of the education directorate in Glasgow City Council, a post I held from 1996. My main responsibility was Additional Support Needs across early years, mainstream, specialist schools and services.
I was also a lead officer in many aspects of CPD for all staff and responsible for commissioning a range of innovative approaches, working in collaboration with external professional bodies.
In my earlier career I was Principal Teacher of Support for Learning and Assistant Head Teacher before joining Renfrew Division of Strathclyde as Advisor in Special Educational Needs. Prior to taking up post in Glasgow I was an Education Officer in Renfrew.

I am chairing a Renfrewshire Primary Headteachers’ meeting in the Glynhill Hotel on Wednesday 1st February 2012.
We have been discussing the quality and type of CPD which will be appropriate for the future. Would you be able to come along and give us a presentation on how we should be approaching this?
Many thanks
Eileen
