SELMAS Conference 2007

SELMAS logoOne of my most pleasant duties is to serve as Vice Convenor of SELMAS, supporting the Convenor Judith McClure, a good friend of the CPD team. Plans are now well advanced for this year’s  annual  conference, which  will be on the theme of “Tomorrow’s Leaders” and will take place at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on September 7th.

Judith writes:

“This will be another stimulating and inspiring event. Last year we had a waiting list, so do not delay! Much that is exciting is taking place in Scottish education for the benefit of all our children and young people. We need to lead the necessary changes and we shall be better leaders if we learn from each other and are mutually supportive.”

    I am delighted to say that the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, Fiona Hyslop MSP, will be joining us for the SELMAS Leadership Conference at Murrayfield. The timing of the Conference, 7 September, is very well placed, as we shall be able to further the ideas which emerge from the Edinburgh International Leadership Summer School, which takes place in late July and early August. We shall also be fresh from our Summer break and we shall be ready for the challenges which lie ahead! We have 100 places reserved already: do please book as soon as you can.

Judith is the current Convenor of the Scottish Educational Leadership Management and Administration Society (SELMAS).     Can you pleae confirm the cost of the event on the 7th September? Are spaces still availble?
