New title at the Consolarium: Boogie
September 27th, 2007At the Consolarium we have just bought a copy of Boogie for the Nintendo Wii. We’re really interested in exploring this game due to the active engagement that is required form the player. Similar to Singstar and even some dance mat applications this game looks as though it will be great fun to play but it looks as though there are possibilities of retrofitiing this across a range of educational contexts.
Have a quick look:
If you are interested in finding out more about this or feel that this game could make a positive impact on learning in your setting then please let us know.

I can see it fitting in with the school using the Wii at the moment – all they have is Wii sports. Can I be sexist and say that appeals more to the boys, but I can see this appealing to boys, girls and of course staff.
What is the rating on this – you know like guitar hero that is 12+?
The active element especially – a good way for those who are not that fond of PE to be active for a bit…
Active – at wet intervals? For those who struggle to cope with the playground – can still be active without getting into bother?
Watch out “Nutbush” and “Macarena” we will make up our own dance
Send me some photos of this please! Sounds great.
